With the sunrise I look forward to the day that is coming, not the day that is gone.  I think of the work to be done for our clients with eager anticipation, eyes wide open, and a grateful heart.

John Palmer is a trial attorney and mediator.  His primary areas of practice are family law, federal law, patent litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and general civil litigation. He is a published author and speaker on various topics including federal court litigation, mediation, family law, ethics and civility.

Prior to joining Naman Howell, John served  as a briefing attorney for the U.S. District Court, Western District of Texas, Waco Division.  He has since been involved in a variety of federal cases, including patent cases, cases of diversity, education law, and construction law. His extensive court experience includes jury and non-jury trials in cases involving property disputes, custody, divorce, termination and adoptions, personal injury, employment cases, and toxic torts.

He is a strong proponent of mediation, and has served in a leadership capacity in several statewide dispute resolution organizations.   He is a Credentialed Distinguished Mediator and current chair of the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association.   

John has actively been involved in fostering education and served on the China Spring ISD School Board from 2005 – 2016 and served as Board President 9 of those years and remains a Board Member of the China Spring ISD Education Foundation.  John enjoys mentoring and was recognized as the Outstanding Mentor by the State Bar of Texas Young Lawyers Association in 2018-2019.
