- Austin Bar Association, Diversity Fellowship Program
The Diversity Fellowship Program provides opportunities for minority law students from The University of Texas School of Law. The program allows students to participate in a 10-week split-summer internship where they gain experience interning with a public sector or government employer for one half of the summer, while spending the other half at a mid-to-large size Austin-based law firm. Naman Howell has hosted numerous interns from the program.
- Latina Leadership Institute
The Latina Leadership Institute is a program by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce that is aimed at building the skills, knowledge, and confidence that today’s Latina leaders need to succeed in their political aspirations.
- ALFA International, Diversity and Inclusion Committee
ALFA International is a global legal network of law firms. The organization has over 140 member firms worldwide. Naman Howell currently counts with attorneys who participate in the Diversity and Inclusion Committee focused on fostering participation by members of all races, genders, and sexual orientations.
- Travis County Women Lawyers Association
The Travis County Women Lawyers Association is focused on connecting women in the legal profession throughout Central Texas. The foundation gives grants to organizations protecting the legal rights of women and children.
- Diverse Attorney Pipeline Program
The DAPP Scholars Program is an intensive, year-long program designed to prepare diverse, first-year law students for career-building summer internships at large law firms or other prestigious legal institutions during the summer after their 1L year.The goal of the program is to address the lack of diversity in big law by infusing the pipeline with highly-qualified, diverse law students who have undergone intensive training and professional development. Naman Howell has been a sponsor of the program since its inception.
- Bexar County Women’s Bar Foundation LEAD Academy
The Bexar County Women's Bar Foundation LEAD Academy is the premiere leadership academy for women attorneys working in and around Bexar County. The LEAD Academy mission is to encourage the retention of women attorneys in the legal profession and to assist them in attaining the highest levels of success in their firms, organizations, and communities.
