Overview
The firm’s guardianship section assists clients in obtaining temporary and permanent guardianships of the person and estate for incapacitated persons. We also assist clients with performing their ongoing duties and responsibilities once appointed as guardians, including the filing of inventories, annual reports and annual accounts. We have attorneys with experience in contested guardianships—litigators who are seasoned in the courtroom and well versed in guardianship hearings and trials.
There are a variety of reasons for amending and terminating guardianships and we routinely help our clients with resignations, successor guardianship filings, final reports and accounts, as well as proceedings relating to the removal of incapacity.
Guardianship can be an emotional process and our goal is to help our clients navigate through the necessary judicial steps with as much ease as possible.
