Waco Attorney Dan Pleitz Retires After 49 Years
After 49 years of dedicated service to Naman Howell and his clients, Dan Pleitz has announced his retirement. Dan has been practicing with the firm’s Waco office since 1975. Dan is a graduate of Baylor University and Duke University School of Law.
Throughout his years of practice, Dan has been involved in over one thousand municipal finance transactions across Texas and has represented several companies and government entities in general business matters. During his time at Naman Howell, Dan served on various internal firm committees.
Beyond the firm, Dan has served as Chairman of the Education Committee for Waco Chamber of Commerce, Board Member for Central Texas Zoological Society, President of the Rotary Club of Waco, on the Advisory Board for the Baylor College of Arts and Sciences, as Trustee for Dallas Baptist University, and as Chairman for the Vanguard School Board of Trustees.
Dan and his wife of 42 years, Cathy, have three sons, Josh, Jacob, and Jordan, and three dogs. Dan and Cathy are the proud grandparents of four grandchildren, with a fifth grandchild on the way. Dan is an avid golfer and a Baylor and Duke fan. You can often find him at a Baylor football or basketball game or enjoying the sights of Colorado at his home in Steamboat Springs, where he plans to spend some of his retirement.
